Q. How do I change the email address tied to my account?

A. You can change your email address by editing your account details within your “My Account” area.

Q. Why do I get a warning message that my selected username is invalid?

A. Every user must select a username for their account. The username can only contain letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens. We recommend replacing all [spaces] with either an underscore or hyphen.

Incorrect: MY Username
Correct: MY-Username
Correct: MY_Username

Or, it says that the username selected is already in use.

Usernames are unique. Two users cannot share the same username. If you get a notice during registration that your username is already in use, you will need to select a different username.
Q. Why does it say that my email address is already in use?

A. If you get a notice that your email address is already in use when creating an account, it means that you have already created an account with us at some point. If you do not remember your login information, please enter your email address into the forgotten password form and you will be able to reset your password and log in to your account.

Q. What is Stripe?

A. Stripe Payments is a payment processing platform. It allows you to transfer money from a customer's bank account into your business's account by way of a credit or debit card transaction, more information can be found here:STRIPE FAQ..

Q. Is Stripe Safe?

A. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. To accomplish this, they use the best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security at Stripe.

HTTPS and HSTS for Secure Connections Stripe forces HTTPS for all services using TLS (SSL), including our public website and the Dashboard. Stripe.js is served only over TLS. SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and its successor, TLS (Transport Layer Security), are protocols for establishing authenticated and encrypted links between networked computers. Stripe’s official libraries connect to Stripe’s servers over TLS and verify TLS certificates on each connection.

Stripe regularly audits the details of implementation, including the certificates served, the certificate authorities used, and the ciphers supported. HSTS is used to ensure that browsers interact with Stripe only over HTTPS. Stripe is also on the HSTS preloaded lists for both Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

Encryption of Sensitive Data and Communication All card numbers are encrypted at rest with AES-256. Decryption keys are stored on separate machines. None of Stripe’s internal servers and daemons can obtain plaintext card numbers but can request that cards are sent to a service provider on a static allow list. Stripe’s infrastructure for storing, decrypting, and transmitting card numbers runs in a separate hosting environment, and doesn’t share any credentials with Stripe’s primary services (API, website, etc.).

Q. Which is Better, PayPal or Stripe?

A. Stripe vs. PayPal, a quick comparison: Both charge 2.9% + $0.30 cents per online transaction. Basically, it comes down to which one you would like to use. In fact, if you’d like, you can offer both payment methods to your buyers.

Q. Do I have to accept online/Credit Card payments?

A. No. You can choose how you would like to get paid. HAB does NOT have any restrictions on payments for your sales.
