ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1930s room key fob for the Hotel John Marshall, once the largest hotel in Virginia. It opened in Richmond, Virginia in 1929 and took its name from the fourth Chief Justice of the United States. In its day it hosted many movie stars and dignitaries, and is now a venue for functions. The fob was made by W. Wilcox Manufacturing Company of Chicago and was for Room 638 (marked on reverse).

[/n]SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2 in height and 1-1/2 in width (not including hook).
[/n]CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Aluminum.
