Description
ARTIFACT: This is a rare circa 1939-1940 numbered employee ID badge for British Overseas Airways Corporation, which flew from 1939 until it merged with BEA to form British Airways in 1974. The badge is bordered in red and white and shows the BOAC "Speedbird" in gold against a field of blue.
VINTAGE: Circa 1939-1940.
SIZE: Approximately 1-1/4" in diameter.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT: Horizontal British kick pin with "C" catch.
MARKINGS: 3050 THOMAS PATTORINI LTD. REGENT 32 BIRMINGHAM.
