ARTIFACT: This is a great circa 1900 advertising cigar container for the Havana-American Company of New York City. This piece dates from the era of the second, short-lived incarnation of the company. The container has a heavy glass body and a nickel lid with beautifully embossed leaves and flowers surrounding the company’s intertwined HAC logo.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900.

SIZE: Approximately 5-1/2" in height by 5" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Glass, nickel.

ATTACHMENT: Removeable lid.

MARKINGS: FACTORY NO. 23, 3RD. DIST. N.Y. 50 on bottom of glass.
