Please read the great story below on this beautifully designed Cocktail Waitress Uniform from Bill Harrah's Reno Casino, era '70s!
Black Velvet, long-sleeved Mini Dress with rows of Rhinestones adorning the plunging Bustline and a matching Rhinestone Dog Collar. They were handmade & provided in the Wardrobe Department for all three shifts. The Lady's costume had additional requirements...and they were mandatory! Black hosiery and at least a 2" high heel along with a Fredericks of Hollywood Pushup Bra were the Cocktail Waitress's responsibility.
A very "Rare Find" as each Uniform was available only through the Wardrobe Department and returned at the end of the Lady's shift to be cleaned & rotated with 3 or more identical Uniforms for each employee. This particular uniform was acquired due to the waitress being taken to the local Emergency Room after an excited Customer jumped on her foot after winning a "Jackpot" on a Dime Machine, 1979. TRUE STORY! She wore it home that night.
Also pictured is the sad year 2020 when Bill Harrah's Original Hotel & Casino closed after 83 years in operation-downtown Reno, Nevada...
The Uniform is complete with the exception of the round plastic name badge that was referred to as the charm on the Rhinestone Dog Collar. (A beaded charm is its replacement). It is unknown when this Style Mini was retired for more conservative attire. Free Shipping.
