ARTIFACT: Early 1930s French Naval badge for F-Class Destroyer – Le Fantastique (The Whimsical). Le Fantastique DA-16 was launched for active duty in 1936 as part of the 10th Light Division (10th DL). The pin is beautifully enameled and shows a clipper ship against a field of cobalt blue with a large golden F running the height of the pin.
VINTAGE: Circa World War II
SIZE: Approximately 1-3/16 in height and 15/16 in width.
CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Plated brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.
MARKINGS: DRAGO PARIS.
