ARTIFACT: This is a nice example of a badge from the 65th Regiment of Algerian Artillery (Régiment d’Artillerie Algerien).

VINTAGE: 1947-1950.

SIZE: Approximately 1 ½” in height by 1 3/8” in width (3.7cm by 3.6).

CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: silver plated brass and enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Safety-type pin with simple catch attached to the back.

MARKINGS: DRAGO PARIS NICE-25.R.BERANGER III, DEPOSE, and a maker’s mark that shows the letters JD.

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-) This badge shows a bit of wear: The enamel has been slightly damaged, and the silver plating is mostly gone – please refer to images. However, the badge is in a generally good condition barring the wear and tarnishing.
